Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. Many of you have joined me as we read through the Bible in 2024. If you are one of those, let me say thank you for being a part. As we approach the end of the year, I want to do two things. One, reach out and check in with you regarding your commitment to read the Bible in a year. And two, invite you and others to join me again, coming back to the Scriptures in the year 2025.
But first of all, how has the journey been for you? Were there any moments that particularly stood out? Maybe a passage that meant more than you expected, or a lesson that God revealed to you along the way?
Sometimes, as we read through Scripture, we encounter unexpected truths or find new insights that impact us deeply. I’d love to hear about how this year of Bible reading has shaped your faith and your relationship with God.
If there were any challenges or struggles you faced, I’d love to hear about those as well. Together, we can encourage and support each other in the journey of spiritual growth.
Secondly, I want to invite the whole church to join together in this endeavor in the coming year. I have been reading the Bible through every year for 7 or 8 years and I find an amazing rhythm to it that centers my life of faith amazingly well. We will be using The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel, Classic Version 2025. It is free to download on the YouVersion Bible App. You can read it from your smart phone, tablet or computer. But it also has an audio feature as well that you can listen to the daily plan if that works better for you. It will start January 1 and take us through the entire Bible by December 31.
